Originally launched in 1965, Super 8 film revolutionised home moviemaking with its easy-load plastic cartridge containing 50 foot of 8mm wide motion picture film. But while the format remains beloved by filmmakers for its dreamy, nostalgic aesthetic, the classic cartridge was designed for one-time use.

Sustainable and smart, Re8mil offers an alternative to the traditional single-use plastic shell with a durable, precision-engineered modular system that you can load and unload in full daylight — no darkroom, no changing bag, no disposable parts.
How Re8mil Works
Load in daylight — just drop in a preloaded, sealed film magazine.
Thread the film through the built-in film path and pressure plate.
Insert the spool a daylight-protected take-up spool inserted underneath.
Film as normal with your existing Super 8 camera.
After shooting, remove the spool and send it to the lab for processing.
Keep your cartridge — only the film magazine and spool are returned for refilling.
